Norfolk firefighter Christopher Betts honoured

A red plaque has been unveiled to honour Norfolk firefighter Christopher Betts, who died tackling a fire at the Chequers pub in Hainford in 1987.

The tribute, the first of its kind in the county, was unveiled by his father William, who said he was proud of his lovely boy.

Betts was killed when the pub's chimney collapsed.

Fire chiefs say it's vital to remember his ultimate sacrifice and those others who died serving their communities.
