Urgent shortage of mental health care home spaces

Urgent shortage of mental health care home spaces

Plans to expand a mental health care home in Norwich are set to go before councillors this week.

Kemp's Place currently supports 30 adults with serious mental health conditions and wants to add six more rooms.

Norfolk County Council says there's an urgent shortage of this type of specialist care in the county.

Some residents had raised concerns about noise and antisocial behaviour. A planning officer say the health benefit outweighs the objections.
