Police have named the man fatally stabbed at Somerleyton House in Norwich as 33-year-old Ucheena Okirie.
He was found with a stab wound on Saturday and later died. His next of kin in Nigeria have been informed.
Benjamin Katabana, who is 27, is charged with murder and appeared in court earlier.
He has been remanded ahead of a plea hearing at the end of January.
