Norwich City Council has introduced major changes to taxi and private hire licensing.
Drivers must now join the DBS update service, complete safeguarding training at every renewal and meet stricter medical standards.
New look plates and badges with clearer ID and holograms will also be phased in to boost passenger safety.
The Council City updates will support a more professional and trusted taxi service.
