Eviction attempts in Sheringham have been paused

Eviction attempts at a 1950s bus shelter in Sheringham have been paused until after a town council meeting following protests over its planned demolition.

Bailiffs arrived at 4am to remove campaigners camping in sight, but Norfolk County Council has since told them to stand down.

Protesters argue the shelter sits on town council land, while the county council insists it controls the site during construction works.

A standoff continues as locals push for a compromise.
