A £1.3 million project is to strengthen a collapsing section of Riverside Road in Gorleston.
Work will begin in January to build a new river wall, widening the road and ending years of temporary fixes.
Councillor Graham Plant says the investment will stop further erosion and make the route safer for drivers and nearby homes.
