Norfolk County Council is considering investing an extra £35 million into its independent living housing programme.
The scheme has already helped deliver more than 600 modern apartments for people aged 55 and over, supporting them to live independently and reducing pressure on residential care.
Cabinet member Alison Thomas says the investment could improve health, wellbeing and save money long term.
A decision is expected when the council's cabinet meets on January 26th.
