There was a home debut for Ahmed, with José Córdoba and Slimane also starting for Philippe Clement's side at Carrow Road against the league leaders.

Slimane was behind the first shot on target. The Tunisian drove forward but saw his side-footed effort saved by Carl Rushworth.

Kellen Fisher's ball across goal nearly lead to the opener but it evaded a touch from a Norwich team-mate.

The chances continued to come for the Canaries as Jovon Makama's ball across goal needed Liam Kitching to deflect it wide for a corner.

Just before the half-hour mark, Norwich came within inches of the opening goal as Córdoba hit the post after a nice corner routine.

But despite Norwich's chances, it was Coventry who took the lead. The ball ricocheted to Romain Esse who fired in at Vladan Kovačević's near post.

Kovačević made a good stop moments later, as he denied Haji Wright from close range.

Less than a minute into the second half, Norwich were level. Ahmed and Slimane combined once again as the Tunisian went around Rushworth and finished to equalise.

Fisher produced a fantastic goal-line clearance to deny Coventry from re-taking the lead, clearing Wright's effort from going in.

Ephron Mason-Clark then saw a header hit the underside of the crossbar and bounce clear.

The turnaround was complete courtesy of Ahmed. Papa Amadou Diallo put the ball on the plate for the Canadian international to score, marking his first appearance in NR1 with a goal.

Norwich were able to hold on and claimed all three points against Frank Lampard's side.

The Canaries are on their travels in their next Championship fixture, travelling away to the Riverside Stadium to face Middlesbrough.
