This year's local elections for Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council have been postponed.
Voters were due to go to the polls in May, but local government secretary Steve Reid said elections in 29 areas will be delayed due to planned local government reorganisation.
The move has sparked strong criticism from opposition MPs, councillors and voters who say the decision undermines democracy.
Current councillors will remain in post until 2027.
