A livestock market in Norwich with routes dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period is set to move 15 miles out of the city.
The market currently on Hall Road needs around £3 million worth of repairs.
The City Council has confirmed it will relocate to farmland at Fox Lane in North Tuddennam, south of the A47.
The Council says no viable alternative sites were available within the city.
