Gorleston man sentenced to 6 months in jail

A Norfolk man who pointed a loaded crossbow at his neighbours has been jailed following an 18-hour police standoff.

Darren Mahoney, who's 53, from Gorleston, was sentenced to six months in custody after being found guilty of affray.

He was also banned from owning weapons, including the crossbow and a zombie-style knife.

Police recovered the loaded weapon after Mahoney surrendered voluntarily.
