Match Report | Millwall 1-2 Norwich City

Norwich City came from behind to take maximum points against Millwall at The Den on Monday lunchtime in the Sky Bet Championship.

All three goals came in the second half, the hosts taking the lead through Mihailo Ivanović in the 56th minute.

Pelle Mattsson was on target for the equaliser for his third in as many games and Oscar Schwartau came off the bench to net the winner 20 minutes from time.

Philippe Clement made five changes to his side that drew 1-1 with Portsmouth on Good Friday, bringing José Córdoba in for Jakov Medić and Jack Stacey in for Liam Gibbs in the back line.

Sam Field, Anis Ben Slimane and Ali Ahmed returned to the staring 11 midfield, with Kenny McLean sitting alongside them on the right wing.

The Canaries held most of the possession in the opening 20 minutes, putting the hosts under plenty of pressure in their own half.

Slimane had the first effort of the tie, Mathias Kvistgaarden setting him up inside the area to shoot and his effort taking a deflection to win a corner.

The forward had an opportunity of his own just before the half-hour mark but sent his shot straight at Anthony Patterson in goal.

It wasn't until the 32nd minute that the hosts had their own first effort at goal, Femi Azeez dragging a shot well wide of Vladan Kovačević.

Stacey went agonisingly close after a ball from Slimane split the Millwall defence, the right-back sending one in across goal just inches wide of the post.

McLean was next to fire at goal but also couldn't find the target from inside the area.

A header from Tristan Crama kept City alert at the back but was unable to test the Norwich stopper immediately after.

Despite causing plenty of frustration for the home side, Norwich couldn't break the deadlock and it was all square going in at the break.

The second half opened with more intensity from Millwall, Kovačević forced into punching away Camiel Neghli's header going on target.

Substitute Ivanović then found the opener just before the hour mark, heading home from inside the area.

Norwich hit back instantly however, Mattsson arriving on the scene to fire a stunning strike into the top right corner in identical fashion to his previous two City goals.

Less than ten minutes later and the Canaries were in front for the first time in the game.

A counter-attack allowed Schwartau to break away and find Mohamed Touré on the edge of the area, who gave it back to the Dane to fire home City's second.

Although the home side pushed to find an equaliser, it would be Norwich City that would emerge with all three points on the day, returning to Norfolk victorious.
