Over the past few days, a fresh dusting of snow has drifted across Norfolk and North Suffolk, turning familiar streets and fields into a proper winter postcard. With the cold air holding on, even a light covering has been enough to change the view. Frosted rooftops in Norwich and Lowestoft sparkle at first light; country lanes look iced; and the Broads sit still, edged with white reeds and silvery trees. On the coast, dunes and sea walls wear a thin white collar, while the North Sea looks steel-blue, and church spires stand out sharply.

It’s the kind of weather that makes everything look cleaner, calmer, and more beautiful – fairy lights glow warmer, footsteps tell little stories, and every hedgerow seems traced in icing sugar. If you’ve been out early, you’ll know the crunch underfoot and the quiet, muffled sound snow brings.
